This site is created + run by creatives for creatives.
Every creative knows the struggles that we all go through on a daily basis. We embark on a career that has no conventional path or road-map to follow—causing a lot of us to work in a vacuum with little insight from the outside world at times.
We started this site to serve as a place where people who are struggling with mental health issues to realize they're not alone—there's lots of us out there + we need to start helping one another.
Why Creatives Though?
Creatives, by and large, are hit by depression harder than most, with a lot of our self worth attached to our art it's not surprising that the harsh ups + downs of being self-employed effect us so much.
Couple that with the social media society we live in nowadays, with every platform we're on being another part of our 'personal brand' making a lot of people feel like they can't be transparent or open about their struggles out of fear of turning off potential paying clients that help pay the bills—which is bullshit.
We hope this site helps show people that it's OK to talk about it; to share your struggles, admit you need help, or even just vent about your frustrations as emotions are the one thing we all can relate to.
